We wanted to take the time to give everyone a quick update on the current COVID-19 situation in regards to our business operations here at BF. Our industry is classified as an “essential industry” and we plan to continue normal operations as long as we are able. Birmingham Fastener understands how critical fastener hardware supply is to this country and we are dedicated to doing our part.
The coronavirus situation continues to evolve and Birmingham Fastener is currently exploring some creative options to help limit the risk of exposure for those in the workplace. These options include staggered work hours, staggered work days, and telecommuting options. As stated last week:
- Birmingham Fastener is fully prepared for situations where our staff may have to work from home. Our sales staff has full online capabilities and can work from home if necessary.
- Birmingham Fastener team members have been instructed to cease travel for business purposes and all currently scheduled customer visits to our locations have been cancelled.
- Safety and cleanliness must be our top priorities. BF is focused on maintaining good hygiene for our team and using stringent sanitization protocols.
Our teammates and customers are the reason we open our doors every day. We want to ensure our partners that BF is taking every action possible to limit our team’s exposure to COVID-19, keep our team safe and healthy, continue to domestically manufacture fasteners, and distribute the fasteners required to keep our country running each day.
Birmingham Fastener will keep our partners informed of any changes to our standard business operations. BF will closely monitor the rapidly evolving coronavirus situation to ensure we make smart decisions on all business fronts.
